The following news concerns South Korea. Korean Bible Society appoint new General SecretarySEOUL, South Korea The Korean Bible Society (KBS) has announced that the Rev Dr Young-Jin Min, its Deputy General Secretary, has been appointed General Secretary. For his first year in office, he will work jointly with the current General Secretary, Ho Yong Kim. Dr Min joined the KBS in January 1988, having previously held the post of Professor of Old Testament Studies at the Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul for 18 years. His main responsibilities at the KBS have been in the field of translation. Mr Kim has expressed the hope that Dr Min will find his term as General Secretary greatly rewarding and has requested prayers from the UBS fellowship for Dr Min and the KBS.
