READING,
England Larry Jerden, UBS Head of Communications Services for more than
two years, has resigned to accept the post of UBS Photojournalist, with effect
from May 1.
During his tenure, Mr Jerden has led the department to an increasing involvement with electronic media and has shared his communications expertise at Regional Fundraising Workshops in Miami, Bangkok, and Bled (Yugoslavia). Applying his background in both journalism and fundraising, Mr Jerden has also served on both the UBS Fundraising Task Force and the Opportunity 21 Global Steering Group.
My deepest satisfaction has come in working with and helping to build up our excellent communications staff in Reading, he commented, and in meeting the diverse members of the global Bible Society fellowship. I am looking forward to building even deeper relationships in the Fellowship in the months ahead.
Accepting Mr Jerdens resignation, the Rev Fergus Macdonald, General Secretary of the UBS, noted that the Fellowship has benefited greatly from the professional journalistic lead Larry has given the Communications Services Department, and we look forward to our continued working together as he assumes this new role.
When he leaves Reading, Mr Jerden will be based near Dallas, Texas, where his wife, Gayle, has maintained their home. I do love England, Mr Jerden admitted, but I think it is time to spend more time with my family especially those two grandsons! (WR 358/2 - 03.01) [PHOTOS]
