AIDS and famine prompt BS Zambia bookletLUSAKA, Zambia The Bible Society of Zambia aims to produce at least 60,000 copies of a booklet entitled Living in Hope as part of its efforts to reach the millions of Zambians affected by the recent famine and by the longer-term problem of HIV/AIDS. It is planned to have the booklet printed by the Bible Society of South Africa in four of the major languages of central and southern Zambia and to supply it free of charge. The Bible Society believes that the booklet will be a valuable tool in bringing awareness of Gods love and care to those affected in various ways by HIV/AIDS. The fact that it will be written in local languages will be particularly important, as it will help those who are sick and others who are caring for them to understand the Scriptures more fully.
