Society encouraged in advance of Cairo BookfairCAIRO, Egypt — A successful children’s bookfair held in December gave staff of the Bible Society of Egypt the encouragement they needed as they prepared for the Cairo International Bookfair, the greatest single opportunity of the year to distribute Scriptures. Many new products will be made available at the Cairo International Bookfair, which will run for 15 days until February 7. The Society will have five stands operating for 10 hours a day. It has been necessary to increase the price of some items in order to partly offset the sharp rise in the cost of paper and of audio and video cassettes resulting from the fall in the value of the Egyptian pound against the US dollar.
