“The Bible is useful for the family and nation,” proclaims the T-shirt of Freddy González, the Warehouse Manager of the Bible Society of Costa Rica. The 46-year-old grandfather of two has worked for the Society for more than two years and firmly believes in the power of the Bible to change people and communities.

“That’s why I’m happy to serve with the Bible Society,” he smiles. And he works with commitment and dedication, even manning the warehouse on Saturdays, when the Society’s regional workers come to collect more Scriptures to sell in shopping centres, markets, churches, schools and exhibitions across the country.
